*The Compact does not support common POS features like menu management, inventory management, and order management. Merchants seeking full POS features should consider Clover devices such as Station Solo, Station Duo, Mini, and Flex.

*The adjustment of auto-batch times can be facilitated through the Support Chat available on the Clover Dashboard, or by reaching out to Clover's Technical Support team once the equipment is activated by the merchant.

*Please be aware that the transition from Auto to Manual Batch out or vice versa requires the merchant's authorization by calling Clover Partner Support. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

• Can I use Clover Compact with a Cash Discount Program?
  • Clover Compact has its own proprietary Cash Discount Program that is set up and managed by Clover. It costs an additional $20 per month and the Cash Discount Rates are limited to whole percentages only (ex. 2%, 3%, 4%).
  • It is NOT possible to set the rate at half or quarter percentages, (ex. 3.5%, 2.75%).
• Is the Compact a full‑featured POS?
  • The Compact payment terminal delivers essential payment functions, including surcharging and cash discounts. Compact merchants will also have access to Clover dashboard features, like Rapid Deposit and Clover Capital.
• Which industries are best suited for Compact?
  • Compact can be used across many industries, but is best suited for businesses seeking a cost-effective credit card payment terminal that is streamlined, fast, and user-friendly, including retail, quick service restaurants, salons, medical providers, professional services, and personal services.
• Can I use the Compact with any Clover plan?
  • For new merchants, they can only use it with the Payments Plan. For existing merchants, they can use their Compact countertop card terminal with any software plans that Clover has.

• Which payment methods can I accept with Compact?
• • Compact supports a wide array of payment options to cater to diverse customer preferences, which include:
    • Credit and debit cards: Accept all of the major credit and debit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
    • Mobile payments: Enable popular mobile wallet options, such as Apple Pay® and Google Wallet™ for quick, contactless transactions.
    • EMV chip cards: Help safeguard transactions with chip card technology, reducing the risk of fraud.
    • Contactless payments: Allow customers to pay by simply tapping their cards or waving devices over the contactless payment terminal.

• Are there any accessories that I can purchase to use with my Compact?
  • Compact purchase includes the payment terminal machine, QSG, charging adapter, and pre-installed SIM. You have the option to add the following accessory: Compact Swivel Stand: Mini swivel stand with a Compact stand adapter for countertop terminals.
• Can I use Compact standalone, or does it have to be tethered to a separate POS system?
  • Compact is a countertop payment terminal that can be used for standalone implementation or tethered to another compact to align with the needs of your business.
